On my recent visit to Toronto to appear on CBC's Test The Nation, I had a free Monday waiting for my 7pm train and spent it wandering around the city, including filming locations used in Resident Evil: Apocalypse. Some photos below. The "real life" pictures of Toronto are all mine, so please do not reproduce or distribute them without my permission. I also took the screencaps from the DVD myself, for illustrative purposes. Click on any of the pictures to make them bigger.
First location (and preview): Ravensgate Bridge (aka The Bloor Viaduct).
I didn't get a chance to go down into the Don Valley to get a side view of the bridge (it was -20 degrees Celsius outside!!), but even so, it's pretty clear that this:

is where they filmed these scenes.

Second location: Random street in downtown Raccoon (aka random street in downtown Toronto):
When Angie's car flips over, you can clearly see a Raccoon City landmark that looks a lot like Toronto's CN Tower.

In their defense, it's REALLY hard not to see it if you're in downtown Toronto facing south. This isn't the same street they filmed in, obviously, but I don't know what street they used and I didn't have ALL day just to search for the same buildings. Most streets downtown have a similar view.
Third location: Abandonned Streetcar (aka a TTC - Toronto Transit Commission - Streetcar)
Not abandonned, these things are still in service. Alice and co used one to hide out from zombies while they discussed the merits of not getting blown up by a nuclear weapon. They voted against it unanimously.

Fourth location: Raccoon City Hospital (aka the CBC - Canadian Broadcasting Corporation - Building on Front Street)
Carlos and his crew wandered into the hospital looking for evac. The first bit was a set where Alice and the Nemesis woke up. The second bit was the centre of the CBC Building.
First the equipment was dropped through the glass roof.

Then Carlos and friends walked down the hallway, ostensibly from the labs (this hallway really comes from the Wellington Street entrance to the centre of the building.

Then they find the weapons cases in here! This room is the heart of the CBC Building.

But Carlos finds it creepy. Probably the lighting. And his friend turning into a zombie and munching on his arm.

Final location: Raccoon City Hall (portrayed by film and television veteran Toronto City Hall)
Toronto's unique City Hall by day...

Creepy zombie-infested mutant fight club slaughterhouse by night!

With added helicopter-related carnage!

Please feel free to comment or ask questions. I had a great time wandering around snapping pics, even though I was FREEZING TO DEATH. I have a ton more pictures of City Hall and some nice cityscapes. There were some filming locations I couldn't photograph, even though I knew where they were... because they were in Hamilton. Hamilton is another city about halfway between Toronto and Niagara Falls. My transit daypass wouldn't get me that far :P

My favorite! And Carlos being munched on... Haha. Really though, fantastic photos, sounds like a wonderful experience, and I love the way you set it all up in this entry!
