I've created some icons of the Magnificent Seven - the source pictures for this particular batch of icons all come from
sara_merry99's recaps & screengrabs collection. As an aside and because I enjoy them so much: she also does recaps with screengrabs for Due South and The Sentinel, as well as Mag7 - I endorse the reading of them!

Please do! Basically I picked the nicest pictures of my favourite moments and tried to crop them interestingly... that's pretty much my whole icon-making philosophy. And Sara gives good screencap, so they're quite nice to work with. I love doing it, so I'm glad you like them!

Very pretty! I find it hard sometimes to clear up the caps but these all came out great!

They can be quite difficult - the DVDs weren't exactly digitally remastered or anything, so the picture can be grainy. There was one of Sniper!Vin that wouldn't really clean up, but I think it looks film grain effect, and I kind of like it. The only one I'm not really happy with is the first one of Nathan. I *love* the expression on his face there (when Buck drops the board to kiss the girl), so I kept it, but I just couldn't get it to look the way I wanted no matter what I did. It's balanced out by the fact that I adore the way the second Nathan one came out. It's one of my favourites from the batch. Anyway, what my giant novel is trying to say is that I know what you mean! :) And thanks!

LOL - I do like that moment in The New Law... well I love the whole ep to be fair :) But I agree, the Nathan icon did come out very well, as did all the others :)

New Law is definitely one of my favourite episodes. It has a lot of great moments. I have one of Mary downing th e whiskey too that I'm going to icon at some point. Btw - I love your icon! I like moments that look candid :)

I think it's interesting (and telling about the character) to note that most of Buck's best shots are when he's interacting with other people. He's easily my second-favourite character. And that's not even taking Dale Midkiff's wonderful voice into account! I could listen to him talk all day :) I'm happy with all of the Buck ones, but I think my favourite is the one where he's kneeling in the street waiting for Chris to fake-shoot him in Safecracker. I just like the composition of that picture.

Oooooo, you're in the mountains? My brother is moving to (where else?) Calgary in a couple of weeks and going over to BC is one of the first things he intends to do in his leisure time. My neighbour's son moved to BC last year. It's the place to be! :)

It's a great place to live. The town I live in is surrounded by the rockies and has some of the best skiing there is. The views from where I live is of a ski hill.
