Thanks! I got them from the BBC and Time and Space. I don't really 'ship The Doctor with his companions (though I have to say, he has mad chemistry with Jack Harkness ;)) but I do adore the relationships he forms with them. I think one that really made that stand out was Donna in The Runaway Bride. Like he said - she wasn't special, she wasn't clever, she wasn't powerful... but he still found something worthwhile in her and valued her and helped her be better and more than she was, even though she was the most completely common person in the world.
Though, when he's actually choosing someone to travel with him, he does tend to choose people who are particularly brave and clever and can think outside the box. I imagine that makes his life a lot easier :) Out of the people who *haven't* travelled with him recently, I think Reinette and Shakespeare would have been AWESOME companions.
